Emily Blunt ‘almost threw up’ after snogging male co-stars for steamy scenes

Emily Blunt has admitted that she nearly vomited after filming some silver screen smooches.

During an interview with Howard Stern, the Devil Wears Prada actress confessed that she’s “had chemistry with people she hasn’t liked” in the past. When Stern asked who, Emily said she’s “not gonna tell him,” but Howard pressed further and asked: “Have you wanted to throw up?”

Blunt bluntly responded: “Absolutely, absolutely! I wouldn’t say it’s sort of extreme loathing but I’ve definitely not enjoyed some of it.” Emily didn’t name which co-star – or stars – she was talking about, but fans on the internet have been speculating who it could be.

Emily smooched Benicio Del Toro back in 2010’s The Wolfman and kissed Matt Damon a year later in the sci-fi romance The Adjustment Bureau. However, Blunt has gone on to work with these two actors since their on-screen snogs, so this could hint they they aren’t the culprits.

She also kissed Jason Segel in The Five-Year Engagement, Ryan Gosling in 2024’s The Fall Guy, Cillian Murphy in 2023’s Oppenheimer and even improvised a kiss with Tom Cruise in 2014’s Edge of Tomorrow.

Elsewhere in the Howard Stern interview she discussed her Jungle Cruise co-star Dwayne Johnson, whom she kissed in the 2021 film, and gushed that she “loves him” which heavily hints that the WWE star isn’t the person on her mind.

Another person Blunt has snogged on the silver screen is her husband John Krasinski. The power couple have been married for 14 years and have two children together, so it is highly unlikely that the actress was talking about her own spouse.

Emily’s film The Fall Guy is currently in cinemas and features Blunt and Gosling along with Hannah Waddingham, Lee Majors, Teresa Palmer, Stephanie Hsu, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Winston Duke and Zara Michales.

IMDB describes the action-comedy as: “A down-and-out stuntman must find the missing star of his ex-girlfriend’s blockbuster film.” According to the page, Gosling’s character “gets blown up, shot, crashed, thrown through windows and dropped from the highest heights” for the audience’s entertainment.

“Fresh off an almost career-ending accident, this working-class hero has to track down a missing movie star, solve a conspiracy, and try to win back the love of his life while still doing his day job. What could possibly go right?”
