Apprentice’s Thomas Skinner shows off fish dinner – but fans can’t help laughing

The dinner of The Apprentice star Thomas Skinner has horrified social media users as they mock his “fish roadkill” dish.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), with his fish, peas and mash meal, Thomas, 33, appeared proud of his culinary skills and the “rainbow trout” on offer. But “dinner time in the Skinner house” was met with mocking comments which likened the dish to roadkill.

Celebrity MasterChef alumni Thomas wrote: “Dinner time in the Skinner house! And I’ve cooked a lovely bit of rainbow trout cooked in garlic lemon & butter for everyone! The baby twins are trying it tonight for the 1st run. Fingers crossed they love it as much as I do! Bosh.”

Revolted by the excessive peas and “terrified” fish, social media users mocked the meal as Thomas takes a break from the infamous Dino’s Cafe.

One user wrote: “I think this is perhaps the worst plate of food you’ve ever posted,” while another joked there were “not enough peas”. A third asked: “What’s the fish equivalent of road kill?”

Ruthless quote tweets of the dinner followed as one user described it as “the worst dinner I’ve seen in my whole entire f**king life.” Comparisons were made between the fish and famous cartoon characters including a tuna newsreader from Spongebob Squarepants and the Three-Eyed Fish from The Simpsons.

Thomas Skinner is best known for his time on The Apprentice

“This is what Gollum orders when they take him to The Shire Wetherspoons,” another user mocked. Though most of the outrage over Thomas’ meal was due to the fish, some users picked up on the vast portion of peas plated up for the Skinner family.

One user wrote: “There’s a lot to unpack here, but the main thing for me is who the fuck plates up *that* many peas?” Skinner’s “diabolical” meal is a change of pace from his usual plates at the notorious Dino’s Cafe, where fans of The Apprentice star have endured some strange dishes.

A post from January showed Skinner tucking into a breakfast accompanied by seven slices of buttered bread while another post from December last year saw the Bosh Beds CEO power through West Ham’s 5-0 loss with a full roast dinner at 8am.
