The soap villain (Christopher Harper) makes his return this week after seven years. Fans will recall the paedo abused Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) – and was sent to prison for his crimes.
However, he has been released, and this week Bethany comes across her abuser working at a builder’s yard – and instantly becomes a suspect in the missing Lauren Bolton case.
Fans will recall the troubled youngster who went missing from Weatherfield earlier this year. Knowing his history, and his appetite for young girls, Bethany soon hits on the idea that Nathan could be behind Lauren’s suspected murder.
What’s more, the soap has also brought back sex worker Nicky – who has vowed to help find out what happened to Lauren. She even met up with a young girl, who had been groomed.
The youngster apparently had some information on Lauren. However Bethany ended up disrupting her chat with Nicky, causing the young girl to run away.
However, viewers of the long-running ITV soap are convinced Nicky is actually working with Nathan in what would be a huge twist. On X, formerly known as Twitter, one person said: “Nicky is working with Bethany’s old groomer.”
While on a Coronation Street Facebook fan page, someone else mused: “Nicky and Nathan make sense!” A third wrote: “O yes never thought of that ???”
