Speaking to Daily Star at the BAFTA TV Awards red carpet, Jorge teased: “There’s a love triangle scenario and a kind throuple situation. Apparently that’s quite a cool thing now isn’t it and people are kind of into that kind of thing. It’s weird, it’s awkward and you’re not spit swapping per say but you are kissing each other in a way. It’s probably like being in a throuple to be fair.”
Jorgie made her debut as bubbly Theresa back in 2008 and has left the soap twice over the past 16 years but has no plans to leave the village anytime soon. Addressing her future in Hollyoaks, Jorge confirmed: “I left twice and come back because I love the place. The first time I left the whole crew in the building said goodbye but the second time they were like ‘Oh you’ve already gone’. I love Theresa so I hope she does last forever.”
It comes after Jorgie locked horns with beau Ollie Piotrowski over childcare for their one-year-old son Forest during the latest episode of ITVBe fly-on-the-wall show Drama Queens. She admitted: “We kind of got into conversations where it just got a bit intense, bit heated, bit passionate is what I’m going to go with. Passionate chatting.”
While out for dinner, conversation turned to Ollie “sitting back” and not working as much as Channel 4 soap actress Jorgie is the famous face. He clapped back: “You drop Forest off as much as I drop Forest off and we are sweet.”
Jorgie replied: “Scheduling is hard as parents when one person has a job,” to which he said: “We have both got jobs.” She confirmed: “We have both got jobs but also it’s hard to say … not whose job is more important, but to say ‘you pick up the kids and I will work.'”
Speaking to the camera, Jorgie revealed her exasperation at the childcare “situation.” Ollie continued: “Yes we are the absolute opposite. And it causes the most arguments known to man between us. It is the biggest hurdle that we are going through at the moment. Hollyoaks and Jorgie’s work, there’s no flexibility. So I am canceling meetings and moving stuff around. Chasing my tail all the time. It is proving really difficult.
“Last week you [Jorgie] worked six days didn’t you so I canceled five meetings last week just to get him to nursery. You are on call everywhere you go, everywhere we go out and about someone spots you. I get loads of flak off my mates as soon as you get an on-screen boyfriend.”
Hollyoaks airs weeknights on E4 at 7pm and first look episodes can be streamed Channel 4 at 7.30pm
