Strictly bosses already ‘eying up’ Tommy Fury after Molly-Mae Hague split rumours

Strictly Come Dancing chiefs have reportedly got their eye on Tommy Fury for the new series.

The Love Island star, 25, is a professional boxer alongside his brother Tyson Fury. He is also engaged to his ITV co-star Molly-Mae Hague, who he met on the dating show in 2019.

Last year, the famous couple welcomed their first child together, a baby girl, called Bambi. With their little family seemingly complete, Tommy got down on one knee and asked Molly-Mae to marry him and she said ‘yes’.

Given Tommy has had significant publicity last year and took part in a £5million boxing match against rapper KSI, it is expected that BBC chiefs could have their work cut out for them when it comes to fees. The show normally offers a flat rate of £25,000 but the multi-millionaire could turn his nose up to this offer.

Despite challenges with contracts, TV bosses are thought to be attracted to a younger demographic for next years show. An inside told The Sun: “Bosses are trying everything to get Tommy on.

“They believe Molly-Mae in the audience would also pull in younger fans. Producers believe he would be a hit with the ladies. But his pay demands are too high.”

The source also suggested that producers hope Tommy will recognise the potential benefits of gaining a “new type of follower” from appearing on Strictly. While Tommy’s involvement remains uncertain, former Olympic sprinter Nitro, real name Harry Aikines-Aryeetey, is reportedly close to signing a deal with chiefs.

The 35 year old fan favourite is represented by Holly Willoughby’s husband Dan Baldwin’s talent agency. Nitro made an appearance on Strictly last December to announce voting phone numbers.

However, official announcements are yet to be made, ahead of the expected start of this year’s series in September.

Meanwhile, Molly-Mae fuelled rumours that she and Tommy could have split after she jetted off to Dubai without him, this after being absent from social media for days now. The 24-year-old former Love island star had seemingly taken a break from sharing updates online during Tommy’s 25th birthday.

The social media influencer also did not acknowledge his birthday publicly, when it past years she has gushed praised for him. It was also noted by fans that Molly-Mae had also remained quiet about Tommy turning his hand to acting.

Tommy will be starring in a comedy film, called The Debt Inherited to mark his acting debut. Given Molly has failed to mention this accomplishment along with his birthday, fans are speculating that there could be trouble in paradise for the twosome.
