Netflix fans are gushing over one show they’ve branded “one of the best”.
Viewers gathered in the Netflix Bangers group on Facebook to discuss Orange Is The New Black, a classic Netflix original series that has a serious cult following. Many rushed to say that they “love” the series” and that the storyline was “so good,” while one keen fan wrote: “I loved it and even got my mom hooked on it. I even bought the whole thing on DVDs one year.”
Someone else typed: “I loved it, wish they had more,” as another Netflix fan said: “This show will probably go down as one of the best ever made by Netflix.” One OITNB viewer even admitted: “This was one of my favourites. I stayed up for days binge watching it.”

More flocked to call the show “one of the best series,” that they had a “great” time bingeing the episodes and that the series is a “must watch”. One last comment read: “Loved this show! So emotional and it was easy to get attached to some of the characters.”
OITNB is a comedy drama series based on Piper Kerman’s memoir Orange Is The New Black: My Year In A Women’s Prison, which was released back in 2010. The show itself premiered on Netflix back in July 2013 and ran for seven seasons until 2019.
The show is widely regarded as one of Netflix’s most successful projects and one of the streamer’s longest-running original series. In the show’s first season alone, OITNB won 12 Emmy award nominations and won three.
OITNB is the first series to have ever landed Emmy nominations for both comedy and drama thanks to a new rule introduced in 2015. The show follows Piper Chapman who is sentenced to 15 months in Litchfield Penitentiary.
She was convicted of transporting a suitcase containing money for her girlfriend Alex Vause, played by That 70s Show icon Laura Prepon, ten years before the events of the series occurs. Thanks to Vause, who named Chapman in her trial, Piper’s life is turned upside down and she is suddenly torn away from her fiancé Larry Bloom, played by American Pie star Jason Biggs, along with her family and friends.
