Peaky Blinders hunk ‘spotted on celebrity dating app’ as he hopes to find love

One of Peaky Blinders’ most well-loved actors has reportedly been spotted on dating apps as he tries to have a shot at love.

Joe Cole, who played the role of former soldier John Shelby on the BBC show, is said to have been seen on celebrity dating app Raya, in the hopes he is able to bag himself a lover. Despite his hunky physique, it seems as if Joe has been struggling to find someone to share his life with, which has prompted him to put himself out there.

On his rumoured profile, Cole, 35, says he is a “marmite” kind of person, meaning that people will either love or hate him. He included a slew of snaps from his previous projects, such as himself as a boxer in his smash hit film Prayer Before Dawn.

As well as this, he also shared some more candid pics of his life, including one where he showed off his cool looks to a camera alongside a mate. He also reportedly included a mixtape of some of his favourite songs, which included Joe’s Ride Wit You and Kano’s A Roadman’s Hymn.

Joe’s quest for a girlfriend comes as his career as an actor continues to heat up. In recent months, he was able to bag himself a role on BBC drama Nightsleeper which has already been filmed and will hit our screens later this year.

Looking back on the role, Cole admitted that it was nice to take on a wholly different character that was not so vindictive. Speaking about the show, he said: “I play a lot of serious, moody characters.

“But I read this role and went: ‘This is close to me as a person.’,” he added. “I could be free and use my life experience, everything I have been through.

“I try to have fun in life and bring it to the parts I play. I haven’t always been able to do it, because I am usually killing people or stabbing them.” Some of Joe’s other acting credits across his career include Black Mirror and Gangs of London. For the Netflix drama series, Cole took on the role of Frank, a man who falls victim to an algorithm that eventually dictates who his life-long partner will be.

For Sky Atlantic hit Gangs of London, Joe portrayed main character Sean Wallace, as producers based the show on the premise of the hit video game from 2006. Appearing in 16 episodes so far, a third season of the show is currently in post-production and will air later on in the year.
