Stacey Solomon received a barrage of negative comments from fans after she transformed her greenhouse.
The 34-year-old headed over to Instagram to show off her improved glass space. Stacey brought her greenhouse “back to life” by painting the frames black and adding gorgeous decor inside.
Sharing a video of herself hard at work, the mother of five who is married to TV star Joe Swash, cleaned up the cobwebs in the glass house and added lighting, carpets and plants.

Captioning her clip, Stacey confessed that it was one of the hardest painting jobs she’s had to do. But despite the struggle, her greenhouse transformation took her over a day to complete.
She wrote: I DID IT! Brought Pickle Cottage Greenhouse Back To Life…30 hours in 30 seconds. Honestly, this was the hardest painting I’ve EVER done.
“But it was SO worth it. What do you think? I love it! This has been here since we moved in & we’ve grown our tomatoes in it but I was starting to hate going in there & I knew it could be so much more so I needed to sort it out!
“I can not even believe the before videos! I honestly am so happy with what a bit of paint (and hours and hours of time) can achieve! I Can’t wait to hide in here on a regular basis.”
But some of Stacey’s social media followers were quick to remind the Loose Woman that greenhouses are not typically used in this way. While others warned her about the heat in the greenhouse.
Taking to the comment section, one fan wrote: “Sorry. But that is not the point of a greenhouse Stacey. But your choice.” Another chimed: “Ummm have you thought this through!! You can’t sit in a greenhouse and also where are you going to plant everything!!”
A third echoed: “Mmmm its a greenhouse… Not sure I see the point of the chair you’ll be boiling.” While a fourth said: “I love what u do but that’s not the purpose of a greenhouse.”
But others loved the new look and new greenhouse idea, with one fan writing: “So beautiful to see someone upcycling something that still has lots of life left in it, rather than just chucking and buying new. How special.”
Stacey and her husband Joe moved into their spectacular house, reportedly worth over £1million, in 2021. The pair have continued to showcase their renovations with fans online.
