Cher is not shy at coming forward, especially when it comes to steamy encounters and matters of the heart.
The Believe hitmaker is turning another year older today as she celebrates her 78th birthday and Daily Star wanted to mark the momentous occasion with a glance into her wild sex antics from across the years. It’s pretty steamy!
Over the decades, the superstar has certainly been no stranger when it comes to sending the entire world into meltdown with a scandalous confession. The icon even gave significant insight about her past flames when she hailed Tom Cruise as one of her “top five” lovers.

More recently, the songstress struck up a fresh relationship with a man 41 years her junior. At the time of confirming her relationship status, Cher encouraged ladies across the globe to not give up hope while on the search for romance.
Back in the 60s, the chart topping artist also enjoyed exploring her own sexuality. Years later, Cher revealed she’d had a fling with another female and it made her “feel empowered”.
Tom Cruise is ‘in her top five’ lovers list
Cher and Tom got it on when he was in the early stages of fame. The I Got You Babe hitmaker had already been a star for decades at this point. They met at a party and Cher was immediately besotted with the Mission Impossible actor.
In 2008, the singer and songwriter appeared on Oprah Winfrey gushing over how “crazy about him” she’d been. Cher told the host it could have had all the hall-markings of “great big romance” had they not had such conflicting work schedules.
She also went on to hail the actor for his love making ability and placed him in her “top five” list of lovers. In 2013, while speaking with Andy Cohen, Cher confirmed that there was no bad blood between them, praising Tom once again for his skills in the bedroom.
The star told him: “It was pretty hot and heavy for a little minute. He’s a great guy. The person that I knew was a great and lovable guy. He was in the top five! I just had the greatest lovers ever.”

In 2022, all eyes were cast on Cher’s love life after she admitted to being in a relationship with a young man 41 years her junior. The pair had met at Paris fashion week, with one of the songstress’s team handing her number out to Alexander “AE” Edwards.
They hit it off almost instantly and even looked quite smitten together on occasions, but, of course, with the age gap came problems, and the pair ended up having a bit of an on and off spell. While it wasn’t always easy Cher had nothing but good things to spill about Alexander.
Confirming the romance with the world, she tweeted her: “Love doesn’t know math! I’m Not Defending us. Haters are Gonna Hate…Doesn’t Matter That we’re Happy & Not Bothering Anyone.”
She also revealed that she and AE kiss “like teenagers” and “love each other” as she slapped down those who had critiqued the 40-year age gap. It’s unknown if the pair are still together but according to TMZ, a source told the publication that the pair “privately went their own ways” last year, in spite of fuelling engagement rumours beforehand.
Lesbian romp
Back in the 1960s, Cher decided to she wanted to explore her sexuality. At the time she had felt liberated by the freedoms she felt living in that decade.
Being free-spirited and with everything “so open” at the time, she struck up a fling with a female. Speaking to the Guardian about the sexual encounter, she confessed: “It was just something to try. I mean, in my family, I was the person that was the freest.”
Cher added: “Also, it was the 60s, and the 60s were so open. Freedom was something people were trying on, like hang-gliding.”
Speaking to the same publication she admitted: “I was pushing an envelope that I wanted to push. I felt that looking the way I wanted to look and doing what I wanted to do made me more empowered.”
Val Kilmer ‘great f***’
Val shot to Hollywood stardom in the early 1980s, when he met Cher at Merly Streep’s birthday party in 1981. Despite the iconic singer being 13 years his senior the pair had eyes for one another.
In his Memoir “I’m Your Huckleberry” Val referenced his first encounter at the star studded bash with Cher. They were linked together up until 1985 when it seemed to have fizzled out.
Cher even gushed over their steamy love life during an interview with People magazine. She told them: “Val is terrific but sometimes it’s just too intense and hot.” In the same interview, the singer did also point out four important qualities.
She praised Val, noting he was “sensitive, artistic, [had] humour and he is a great kisser”. She added:” My rule of thumb, and it’s never failed me, is if a man’s a good kisser he’s a great f***.”
