The Chase’s Mark Labbett told ‘well done’ as he looks ‘so slim’ after weight loss

Mark Labbett has wowed fans with his new slimline look after shedding several stone.

The Chase star has been steadily transforming his physique for a while and it’s thought he has dropped somewhere in the region of 10 stone in recent years. This week he shared a new snap on Instagram that showed him looking happy and healthy as he tucked into a “cheeky steak and fries”, and fans were seriously impressed.

Many posted messages in the comments section saying that the quizzer looked “fantastic” and “incredible” as he dined at what he said was his “fave restaurant”. “Looking good Mark!” said one.

“You’re slimming up nicely!” remarked another of his followers. Another said it was “blinding stuff”. In a nod to the fact that Mark is known as ‘The Beast’ on the ITV quiz show, one fan quipped: “Not so beast looking now.”

The 58-year-old has previously told how when he was at his heaviest he weighed 29 stone. Opening up to The Sun in 2021, he said he started to shed the excess pounds by watching what he ate, going to the gym and taking walks.

The star admitted that sugar was his “sin”, adding: “But sumo wrestlers die 20 years younger than the rest of the population, and I could do the maths, I knew I had to make a change. The more sugar you have, the more you want. Now I’ve reduced it, I’m just not that hungry any more, and often when I’m filming, I miss lunch.”
