EastEnders favourite Mick’s return ‘rumbled’ after ‘clue’ as fans ‘knew he wasn’t dead’

EastEnders fans are convinced a return is on the cards for Danny Dyer after a ‘clue’ on social media.

The actor played Mick Carter on the BBC soap who rocked up to Walford back in 2013 with the rest of the Carter clan. And the Queen Vic landlord quickly became a hit with viewers.

Over the years, Mick had some several big stories too. But in 2022, Danny confirmed he was leaving the soap – leaving fans gutted.

And on Christmas Day that year, his explosive exit scenes were aired. Fans will recall how Mick appeared to get lost at sea after plunging into the water to save his estranged wife Linda Carter (Kellie Bright).

Despite a body never being found, Mick’s death left ex-wife Linda heartbroken – and since then, fans have been longing for Mick to make a comeback.

Especially in the past year following Linda’s booze relapse and return of their son Johnny (Charlie Suff), as well as the murder, and cover up, of Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) at Christmastime.

But now, Danny has got plenty of people talking about a potential major comeback to the BBC One soap with a cheeky hint on Instagram. In an Instagram post shared by Kellie Bright, who plays Linda, Danny and Kellie reunited for an adorable snap.

Posing for the camera, the on-screen couple beamed, with Kellie writing in the caption: “A little photo of me and @officialdannydyer for all the Mick and Linda fans out there.”

Unsurprisingly, fans went wild over their reunion with some claiming it was a hint that Danny is coming back. Rushing to the comments section, one person said: “Mick needs to come back to the square.”

Someone else added: “He’s coming back she’s teasing.” A third chimed in and mused: “Is Mick coming home?!” Echoing their thoughts, another viewer wrote: “EASTENDERS NEEDS YOU!! L NEEDS HER MICK BACK!! LET HER GET THE HAPPY EVER AFTER SHE DESERVES RIGHT NOW.” A fifth penned: “I knew Mick was alive!”
