Jamie said: “So, Britain’s Got Talent, back last night of course – and there were tears, it’s fair to say.” Amanda replied:: “Oh my gosh, my brilliant golden buzzer winner Sydnie Christmas went on, and I mean I thought she was extraordinary. Obviously, I pressed the golden buzzer for her. But to watch her last night, she went on last, and she did her own rendition of My Way, and I held my breath for so long that when I stood up to give her a standing ovation, I literally nearly collapsed over the desk – I forgot to breathe.

“I was holding my breath for her. I was so nervous for her, because to have to sort of control your nerves, and you’re last, and you’ve got all night to wait, and then knock it out… I mean, know out the park doesn’t even cover what she achieved last night. She was phenomenal.”

Jamie asked: “Do you think we’ve seen a winner?” Amanda answered: “Yes, I think I might have just mentioned it, yeah. I mean, to be honest, the final is shaping up to look absolutely brilliant, and I personally think there are at least three people in that final that could easily win the show.”

Her co-host wondered: “What impressed me so much is I can’t imagine how nervous she must have been, and to hold that voice.” Amanda responded: “To hold the voice and to just to tell the story – because she started off so small and then just reached up for those notes and just to hear it done again, a song that you know so well, but in such a unique way, was brilliant. She smashed it! Oh God, I was so nervous for her.”

Jamie told Amanda: “We’re getting a lot of messages this morning about your outfit last night.” The mother of two said: “Oh, that’s lovely. Very pink, very Barbie-esque. But what was quite funny is I wanted to meet up with Sydnie Christmas – my golden buzzer – to wish her good luck yesterday. So we met up, she came and saw me and we had a cuddle and everything else. And her mum was with her, and her mum had a t-shirt on saying ‘vote Sydnie.’

“I said, ‘Oh my God, I need to put that up on my socials! Let’s get everyone moving!’ I said, ‘Come in, come in.’ So, I made her mum strip her t-shirt off – she was sat in my room with just her shorts and her bra on – and I only had my dressing gown on. I’ve never met her mum in my life and I took the t-shirt off her back, put it on, and she went, ‘Ooh, look at her bum, Sydnie. Look at that bum!’ Anyway, so we got a lot closer than they were expecting, bless their hearts!”
