Love Island host Maya Jama has said she was mortified as shared some of the raunchy messages she gets from superfans.
Maya, 29, was giving fans a sneak peek into what her DMs on social media look like when she stumbled across one particularly racy message. She opted to keep the identity of the account private but shared the X-rated confession to her legion of followers on Instagram.
The eager fan had sent a couple of messages to the presenter and model before, gushing over the star’s natural beauty. However, one particular message the account sent left Maya bemused and a little scared as she shared the screenshot to the 3.1million people who follow her.

The account was responding to a story that Maya had uploaded of her posing in the mirror, wearing a white bikini-style crop top and a pair of low-rise jeans. But rather than traditionally fawning over Maya’s natural looks, the account took it one step further.
Uploading the snap, the message to Maya read: “Last night I thought about you whilst I f***ed my boyfriend. Should I be concerned?”
However, instead of being shocked and disgusted at the message, Maya took the message on the chin and instead saw it as more of a compliment. Captioning the snap, Maya herself wrote: “An insight into my DMs; some say f me… some think about it,” before adding a crying-with-laughter emoji.
Maya has helped Love Island come back to its popularity, taking the helm to host four seasons of the ITV dating show. The next season is just days away from kicking off, but Maya has already hinted that she may be looking for pastures new.
Looking ahead to the future, she did not rule out leaving the limelight behind in favour of a more behind-the-scenes role. She explained: “I am a fan of the show and have grown up on reality TV so maybe one day, never say never.”
Speaking to The Sun on a tour of the revamped Spanish villa, she added: “In my mind I am like what do you next after TV – I’ll work it out. I feel like I need to set new goals because I have been so fortunate that all my childhood goals have been achieved now before I am 30.”
She said that whilst she does not receive any backstage credit now, she may change her tune in the future. “If I did I would get producer credits; if I could I would but that’s not my job title… yet,” she alluded.
Ahead of a busy couple of months in Majorca, Maya has been sunning herself at a luxury retreat in Saint-Tropez, in the south of France. The four-day break set her back an eye-watering £2.7k a night as she lapped it up at the Lily of The Valley resort, known as the “green lung” of the French Riviera.
