Love Island hunk exposes secret Piers Morgan link – but host despises the show

Love Island hunk Munveer Jabbal has dished the dirt on his connection to Piers Morgan.

The 30-year-old ITV newbie is about to set sail for Majorca, Spain, to join this year’s 2024 lineup on the hotly-anticipated dating programme. Munveer isn’t just looking for love, he’s hoping to scout out a possible future wife.

Someone who knows the budding reality star well and what he’s looking for is Piers Morgan’s son Spencer Morgan. Munveer shared that he and the anchorman’s eldest child had bonded over their beloved team Arsenal.

Whenever Munveer gets the chance to borrow a spare ticket from Spencer, he snaps up the chance to go and cheer on the Gooners. But the half-English and half-Indian star isn’t sure that his friend will be tuning in to watch him on ITV2.

Munveer was quizzed about his bromance with Spencer at a recent Love Island roundtable meeting. When asked if Pier’s son would be “routing for him” on the outside, the recruitment manager quipped: “I think he’ll be cheering on Arsenal, to be honest.”

He added: “That’s how we get together, whenever he has a spare ticket and that’s how it goes. Whether or not he’ll be tuning in, I don’t know.”

Meanwhile, at the press meeting, talk turned to prospective partners and what the IT recruitment specialist was hoping to get out of being on the series. He told us: Obviously I’m that little bit older, I’m looking for the girl of my dreams, all that kind of stuff – to have a family, big house, nice car outside.”

He went on: “I’m sitting on a beach seeing young families running around and I’m thinking ‘I want a bit of that’. I’m at a stage in my life where I’m thinking about it a lot more seriously.”

For Munveer, it’s all about “personality and vibe” for him when it comes down to choosing a partner. Although he did admit that he did tend to be drawn to people with a certain look.

Speaking about his ideal dream woman, he explained: “She’s family-oriented, someone that is kind and caring. Personality is very important to me now.

“As we get older it becomes even more important but in terms of looks, I’ve always gone for blonde hair and blue eyes but maybe that’s where I’m going wrong but I’m going in with an open mind.”

Love Island kicks off on ITV2 Monday, June 3rd.
