Amanda Holden doesn’t regret dig at ‘pathetic’ Sharon Osbourne as feud reignites

Amanda Holden has spoken out about her feud with Sharon Osbourne and admitted she’d “do it all again”.

The Britain’s Got Talent judge has, again, addressed her unexpected clash with the former X Factor judge, revealing that she was taken aback when Sharon lashed out after Amanda branded her “bitter and pathetic”.

The 53-year-old TV judge found herself in the thick of a spat involving her mate Simon Cowell, Sharon, and Louis Walsh following the latter duo’s digs at Simon on Celebrity Big Brother. When Amanda stepped in to defend Simon, Sharon didn’t hold back.

The 71-year-old slammed Amanda in a scathing social media rant in April, where she labelled the BGT star an “ill-informed sycophantic”. Amanda later dismissed the drama, telling Mail Online: “Oh it’s all b******s”.

Amanda has claimed it “didn’t bother” her one bit as she was simply “sticking up” for Simon. She told The Sun: “I really wasn’t expecting it to all blow up the way it did, but I also can’t explain how much it didn’t bother me at all, either. I was just sticking up for a friend and I know she would stick up for a friend. I would do it all again. And honestly, I wasn’t phased.”

Despite the public spat, Amanda insisted that there’s no bad blood between her and Sharon, praising the rock matriarch’s career. Amanda shared: “Sharon’s a tough cookie who’s a survivor in this industry, and I look up to her. We have a lot in common, and I know she likes me and I like her.”

Amanda Holden has confessed she didn’t bother to read Sharon’s post, which her husband Chris started reading out to her. Apparently, Amanda heard that Sharon had called her “beautiful” and “successful” and decided to ignore the rest.

In her fiery comeback, Sharon lashed out at Amanda, claiming: “a couple of your statements regarding myself are factually incorrect.”, reports the Mirror.

She continued: “The truth is, you don’t know me, Amanda or any of my close friends. You know nothing about my family history in the music industry, my achievements, the artists I have worked with, the shows that I’ve produced and my global celebrity.”

“Unlike you, the brand of Sharon Osbourne is known worldwide. There are many countries that I could work in if I choose to, however, I don’t have the ambition or time to do so.”

Sharon claimed Simon Cowell was the one who needed her expertise for The X Factor, not the other way round, as she was already a big name in the industry. Sharon said: “At the time that I worked on X Factor, I was the only judge who had global accomplishments with multiple million-selling artists, Grammy Award winner and arena and stadium headliners.”

“I was also an extremely successful festival producer with Ozfest which ran for 24 years, as well as a best-selling author and producer of the smash hit ‘The Osbournes’, bagging an Emmy Award for it. Amanda, you’re missing the whole point, no offence to Simon Cowell, but he NEEDED ME for musical credibility on X Factor and I came through for him we were all part of a smashing team.”

Sharon ended the spat by telling Amanda: “It’s demeaning to me and my husband and all the achievements I have made in my life as you’re making yourself look like an ill informed sycophantic.”
