Britain’s Got Talent star Sydnie Christmas broke down in tears on the tube.
The 28-year-old singer, who is just hours away from performing in this years ITV final, could not withhold her emotion as she began to cry on public transport. No doubt on-route for a rehearsal for Sunday’s (June 2) final.
Originally, Sydnie blew away the judges with her very own rendition of Tomorrow from Andrew Lloyd Webbers hit musical Annie. At first Simon Cowell had been sceptical telling everyone “I hate that song”.

However, Sydnie certainly proved him wrong as she switched up the melody and showcased her incredible vocal range. Amanda Holden was so moved by her performance that she lunged to her feet and slammed down the golden buzzer.
In last weeks semi-final the budding West End star impressed again, this time stepping up to the microphone to belt out Frank Sinatra’s My Way. She certainly left her mark as she sailed through to the final.
Now, ahead of her performance tonight, it’s all proved to be a bit much for the songstress as she began to sob while on tube after she’d marked another milestone in BGT journey. Taking to Instagram, Sydnie revealed someone special had been in touch to provide her with support.
She’d received an endorsement from a fellow Britain’s Got Talent contestant, Loren Allred, who was already a star in her own right before appearing on the ITV show. The iconic singer and songwriter is best known for her vocals on the film The Greatest Showman song, Never Enough.
Taking to social media, Sydnie revealed that Loren was now a fan and one of her 59,000 followers on the platform. Sharing the notification along with a caption in big bold letters, Sydnie penned: “My Idol. Life made.”
The finalist added: “No. No stop it!!! I’m crying on the tube. I love you Loren,” while tagging the former BGT too. Sydnie will face some stiff competition this evening.
It’s going to be one of the closest finals that viewers have ever seen with Sydnie going up against the lies of Innocent Masuku who sings opera, impressionist Mike Woodhams and the Northants Sings Out choir.
Also hoping to steal the win and perform for the Royal Family at the Royal Variety Performance are Golden Buzzer act Acrobatic group Ssaulabi Performance Troupe, jump rope group Haribow, magicians Trixy and Jack Rhodes, comedian Alex Mitchell and dance duo Abigail & Afronitaaa.
Britian’s Got Talent Finals airs Sunday, June 2 at 7.30pm on ITV1
