Love Island beauty opens up on returning to ‘unglamorous’ job she had before fame

Love Island star Anna Vakili has opened up about what it’s like working a regular job whilst being famous.

The star has proved she’s not just a pretty face after becoming a qualified pharmacist – which she had succeeded in before going on the show. Despite all the glitz and glamour of post-villa life, Anna decided to go back to her day job.

This didn’t mean she gave up all the showbiz lifestyle as she is now hosting her own podcasting and is seen at a whole host of VIP events such as O Beach’s Ibiza launch party last month. Anna, 33, was flown out by SHEIN who is their official partner this year.

Talking exclusively to the Daily Star at the event, Anna discussed what it’s like going back to work at a pharmacy after finding fame. She said: “I do two days a week in the pharmacy, it’s mainly because I want to stay up to date with all the pharmacy stuff.

“It’s so funny on Tuesday I’m in the pharmacy taking people’s blood pressure, and then on Friday, I’m in Ibiza! It couldn’t be more different. From unglamorous to glamorous!” Anna added: “People come into the pharmacy and if they do recognise me, they will make the odd comment, but I’m used to it now.”

The former Islander also opened up about her recent surgery and says she “couldn’t be happier” with the results. She said: “Yeah I’m five weeks post-op, it was really good, I’m so pleased. I had really botched bottomed-out implants from a previous surgery, so I went to Turkey and got them fixed and I’m so happy with them. “

The TV star also touched on her surgery horror story when she was left worried for her life after flying abroad for her procedures. Anna added: “Yeah that was awful before – but it was a much nicer experience this time around.

“I was scared before going as I obviously had thought we were going to die during the other one. But I was left in such a bad way before, as my nipples were placed so high, so I needed to do something about it.

“The UK doctor that I went to was the one who ruined me so I did lots of research and found a good surgeon abroad. I’ve gone for the same size this time but I’m so happy. I think I’m good now, so I won’t be having anything else done as I’m happy with everything else.”
