Britain’s Got Talent final voting figures confirmed after ‘fix’ accusations

Britain’s Got Talent bosses have released the voting figures for this year’s grand finale – and Sydnie Christmas won with a large gap.

The ITV show became surrounded by controversy when Sydnie – who is already a professional singer – took home the top prize. Viewers shared their thoughts online, with some branding it a “fix”.

However show bosses have now revealed exactly how much Sydnie won by. She received 27.2% of the vote on the night.

With 8.8% was the Trickstars, while Mike Woodhams was next with 5.4% of the vote. Rounding out the final voting were comedian Alex Mitchell (5.3%), choir Northants Sings Outs (4.9%), martial arts dancers Ssaulabi Performance Troupe (4.8%) and dance group Haribow (3.1%).

After the results were announced, people flocked to X to share their frustrations. One said: “The public mugged off again. Sharon Osbourne said the show is rigged. Sydnie Christmas was already the winner before the show started we’re treated like mugs.”

Another moaned: “Rigged, I’d rather have Viggo back to show how fake this show is. End this show now.”

A third said: “Wrong person won yet again, I’m done with this show now and won’t be watching again.” As another added: “Fixed as usual. No VAR.”

But head judge Simon Cowell attempted to hit back at negativity. He said on the show: “You know what was interesting? I worked out, I don’t think a single act tonight were professionals. They all had a regular job and they did something extraordinary.”

However Sydnie is no stranger to the spotlight, despite having a “regular job” in a gym when she first appeared on the show. In the past, she starred on E4 reality show Stage School, which showed what it was like for students at a performing arts school.

She has also appeared on stage a number of times, including in the show Lazarus in London. She even has a credit in the movie Kick ass 2.
