Below Deck Mediterranean’s Aesha admits ‘worst thing ever’ happened in new series

Below Deck’s Aesha Scott has admitted the “worst thing ever” happened in the new season of Mediterranean.

The fan-favourite is back in the Med after a few seasons Down Under with Captain Jason. But now she’s back where it all started for her and has reunited with Captain Sandy.

But the new season gets off to a rough start, when none of her provisions – including the all important rosé wine – turns up. With the Gen-Z influencer guests getting antsy for the wine, Aesha starts to panic.

Speaking to Daily Star, the New Zealander admitted: “I feel like this is probably the worst thing I’ve ever had to experience on a super yacht. I was just so angry because I put so much time into planning and prepping.

“I had my list, I had my orders, I had everything ready to go, and I stepped on there and I was so well rested. I got a good sleep, I was ready to take it and run with it.

“Then I had all these things go wrong that were totally out of my control, and I just felt like it was so unfair from the universe. It’s like, have you ever tried to start a charter with none of the alcohol that they asked for?

“It’s so stressful and it’s so embarrassing. That was my hardest thing.”

However, Aesha confessed that the first guests of the season, who were mostly British, weren’t too difficult, despite the set backs. “I really enjoyed them because I’m half-English,” she said. “My mum’s side of the family is from York, so I just really enjoyed having them around and I could talk to them about England.”

She added: “What I will say about them is, for young kids, they were so respectful and polite, because with us having none of their alcohol, they had every right to have a massive tantrum. They’re paying so much money to be there.

“I was just so impressed with their decorum and how they handled their selves despite such a huge let down.”

Below Deck Mediterranean is available to stream on Hayu, with new episodes landing each Tuesday
