The Chase star Mark Labbett has shown off his new figure in a striking new pic that has left fans gobsmacked.
Mark, 58, is best known for his huge personality on the ITV gameshow, as he takes on teams to take them out of the game. However, in recent months he has embarked on a new fitness journey to help him shed the pounds and get back to being healthy.
Sharing updates with his fans, viewers have looked on in awe as Mark has successfully been able to lose weight fast – and keep it off. Now, in his latest update, he has shown off his figure, leading to a slew of congratulations from well-wishing fans of the quizzer.

Taking to his Twitter account, the television quizzing legend uploaded a picture of him sat down at a table tucking into a tasty bowl of soup. He was seen beaming with smiles to the camera as he indulged in the soup, together with a long, thin piece of bread to go alongside it.

Writing in the caption of the photo, Mark penned: “My summer of protein and pain,” followed by an arm emoji. “Gym, nutrition, feels good to be The Beast!” to which he added a smiley face.
Immediately, he was inundated with messages of love and support from fans who were stunned at the change in looks. One fan penned: “I would not count you out in anything you set out to achieve!”
Mark revealed in response to the tweet that he was now down to between 260 and 270lbs, a huge drop from where he started his fitness journey. A second user added: “Christ! They are gonna have to rename you on The Chase now, well done sir!”

A third gleeful account also said: “Well done Mark, it’s so hard but you’re doing it the right way! You’re looking so healthy, keep it up with that cheeky sense of humour.”
The update comes just weeks after Mark and his former flame Hayley Palmer called time on their relationship after just over a year. The pair had been seen regularly in the lead-up to the break-up, including tucking into a tasty meal at Beefeater, followed by a relaxing and romantic beach stroll.
An insider close to the pair had said, however, that despite the romance and love between the pair, it seemed that they were destined for different things. Speaking to The Sun, the source said: “Mark had a lovely time with Hayley and has a lot of respect for her but they wanted different things; she loves getting dressed up and going out to parties and showbiz events, whereas he prefers to stay at home.”

As well as this, the source also explained that Mark’s feelings towards the age gap the pair had made it harder for the pair to work in the long term. However, the pair are still on good terms and want to keep things friendly, with Mark still hoping he can find someone to settle down with.
