If GK does sign up she is likely to find herself sharing the roster with comedian Chris McCausland, who looks set to become the show’s first blind contestant. There had long been rumours about Chris doing Strictly and he confirmed he was in the mix when he appeared on This Morning this week.

Pressed about the rumours by presenters Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley, he replied: “Do you know what? Nothing is… it’s on the cards, I’m thinking about it. It would be so fun.”
