Married at First Sight star dies aged just 33 as co-stars pay heartbreaking tribute

A groom who appeared on Married At First Sight has died at the age of just 33 as his fellow co-stars took to social media to pay tribute.

The cast of the Married At First Sight are in mourning as they announced the tragic passing of Andrew Jury.

Andrew, a builder by trade, shot to fame on the New Zealand edition of the hit reality series back in 2017. His fellow participants Brett and Angel Renall, along with Benjamin Blackwell, took to Instagram today to share the heartbreaking news.

Their post read: “We had the absolute pleasure of filming and participating in a show which leaves us intricately linked for a lifetime.”

They continued to express their fond memories, saying: “Despite his struggles, Andrew was always friendly and the life of the party during our shared experience and he really valued his time on the show.”

The group extended their sympathies, stating: “At this time our entire cast wish to send our deepest condolences and love to his family – Ben, Angel, Brett, Vicky, Haydn, Lacey, Claire, Dom, Aaron, Luke, Belinda”, reports the Mirror.

Andrew’s journey on the show saw him paired with Vicky Gleeson-Stokes. The couple made it through to the show’s finale but went their separate ways after the cameras stopped rolling.

Warner Bros Discovery, who make Married at First Sight New Zealand shared their ‘deepest condolences’ to Andrew’s loved ones following the news. In a statement, they said : “WBD takes duty of care extremely seriously and has protocols in place regarding the wellbeing of cast and crew.

“All MAFS NZ contributors have access to mental health professionals throughout the process, including pre-screening, during production and after broadcast.”
