EastEnders exit confirmed as Mitchell family member says goodbye to Walford

EastEnders has confirmed another exit as Billy Mitchell makes a devastating discovery about his mother.

The recent arrivals of Teddy, Harry, and Barney Mitchell in Walford lead to a family gathering for the clan in the upcoming episodes of the BBC One soap but a shocking revelation threatens to tear them apart.

The week begins with the Mitchells uniting when Billy decides to throw a surprise party for Stevie at The Vic, explaining to his son Will that Stevie and his long-lost mum, Val, share the same birthday.

Billy, who runs a stall, also admits that he doesn’t know where his mother is or where she’s living. However, over at the cafe, Teddy meets Stevie to hand him a card and warns him to stop lying.

After overhearing them discussing keeping something from Billy, Phil becomes curious and asks his trusted lawyer Ritchie to investigate. At the pub, Stevie is thrilled to see the effort Billy and Will have put in, prompting Billy to give a speech about his dad and wish his mum well – wherever she may be.

But Phil soon arrives and pulls Stevie aside to show him the evidence Ritchie has found. Back at No. 18, Stevie reveals to Billy that his mother is dead while Teddy watches. Stevie shares the heartbreaking story of Val’s death with his shocked sons Billy and Teddy before making a significant decision.

Billy recently learned that Teddy was his half-brother

The shocking news leaves Billy feeling shattered, and he turns to his cousin Phil for support. Phil advises him to see Stevie for who he truly is. Later, Teddy encourages Billy not to let this revelation ruin their relationship.

However, during a conversation, Will misinterprets what Billy is saying and inadvertently reveals that Phil framed Stevie. This leads to Billy confronting Phil for trying to sabotage his newfound family.

Stevie pleads with Billy and Teddy to listen to his side of the story and apologises for his actions before deciding to leave Walford. After another heated exchange with his nephew Phil, Stevie asks Big Mo for a favour.

Will Billy let Stevie say goodbye to Will and Janet?

Phil is enraged when he discovers his car is missing and contacts the police, while Stevie requests to bid farewell to his grandchildren from Billy. Later in the week, consumed by anger, Phil continues to drive a wedge between himself and everyone close to him. Billy and Teddy arrange a family dinner at Walford East but don’t invite Phil until Jay asks him to join them.

Teddy tries to smooth things over between the family as Phil takes a seat. During a tense meal, Phil says some nasty things about Stevie before Harry riles him up over the missing motor.

EastEnders airs Monday to Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer
