Former Bond girl Eva Green got her big break getting her kit off in a raunchy movie before starring opposite Daniel Craig – but her first co-star has an unusual way of calming the nerves.
And what’s more, the French actress, who turns 44 today, is no stranger to getting her undressed for her art. Nor is she particularly adverse to it.
The Hollywood star gained international acclaim in 2006 when she played Vesper Lynd in Casino Royale. But three years prior to becoming one of the most sought-after actors, Eva was cast in Bernardo Bertolucci’s racy 2003 film, The Dreamers.

There’s lots of quality news coming out of the US.
In the film, Eva had to film a number of raunchy scenes, and for her film debut it was quite daunting.

However, off the back of her first gig she then earned a reputation for being an actor who isn’t afraid of intimate scenes.
In fact since Dreamers she’s done sex scenes in 300: Rise Of An Empire, Penny Dreadful, White Bird In A Blizzard, Perfect Sense, and, Sin City: A Dame To Kill For.
But, back on her first project where it all started, Eva has since admitted to being absolutely terrified of taking her clothes off.

And it was a weird offer made by her co-star that managed to put her at ease and get the scene done.
“The sex scenes were quite full on and frank in The Dreamers,” she told The Sun.
“I had a scene in which my own character has to lose her virginity. I had to remember how I felt when I first had sex. I am so reserved in real life, but I surprised myself completely.”

She also claimed that she was asked to drink in order to calm her nerves, but it didn’t help.
However, Eva wasn’t alone in her nervousness about stripping off in front of the cameras. Her co-star, Louis Garrel, was also getting the fear so decide to pull a move which would probably be frowned upon today, but did ease them both into it.
Speaking to Vulture, Eva admitted: “The actor Louis Garrel came into my trailer and said: ‘I will show you my d*** if you show me your br**sts.’ So I did, and he did. He said to me: ‘They look great.’ So when it came to the sex scenes, it made it a little easier.”
