Swifties are divided after some fans reported hearing a snake-like hiss during Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour gig.
The pop sensation rocked two jam-packed nights in Milan this weekend, where the eerie sound was caught on film. The “hissing” that has fans buzzing with theories of an “Easter Egg” was picked up during Swift’s acoustic performance on Sunday.
Taylor Swift, ever the showstopper, surprised her audience with a medley of unexpected tunes, and things were peachy as she strummed out “Mr. Perfectly Fine” mashed with “Red”. However, drama unfolded as she transitioned to the piano to belt out “Getaway Car” and “Out Of The Woods”, only for her piano to hit a bum note.
A swift intervention by a stagehand saved the day after the piano appeared to let out a bizarre noise.
As Taylor lifted the piano lid, the crowd was met with a snake-like sound, setting tongues wagging among the fans who are on high alert for hints that Reputation (Taylor’s Version) might be dropping soon, especially since she was playing “Getaway Car” from the original Reputation album when it happened, reports the Mirror.
“Why does this guy do nothing to fix the piano and just keeps smiling and why does it sound like a snake when she opens it? ? ? ? Was it an Easter egg? ? ? ” one baffled fan quizzed on X. Another slammed the mishap as “fake”, saying: “The way the guy comes over, doesn’t even try to fix it, a snake hisses when they open it, and the guy leaves laughing hysterically after it happens. Then Taylor opens the piano AGAIN so we could clearly hear a snake hiss twice. What is happening? ! “.
But not everyone’s buying it. Some fans reckon there wasn’t any hissing noise at all.
Chiming in on a buzzing post on X, where a Swiftie uploaded a clip of the alleged “snake sounds”, other followers speculated that the sound was actually Swift herself.
“Sorry to disappoint you guys but it’s just Taylor laughing,” one user declared, with another agreeing: “It’s Taylor laughing in the mic.”
Yet another added their two cents: “I think the electrical equipment for the keyboard inside the piano box was giving off feedback which sounds like a hiss.”
