Emmerdale’s Kim Tate, portrayed by Claire King, is being urged by fans to reclaim Home Farm after falling prey to a cruel revenge plot. The formidable Kim has been the proprietor of the grand estate for several years and is married to Will Taylor (Dean Andrews).
In a recent episode, scheming Ruby Fox-Miligan (Beth Cordingly) has been hatching a plan to bring Kim down. To execute her scheme, she roped in Kim’s romantic rival Rose Jackson (Christine Tremarco) – who is also Will’s ex-wife.
Taking a darker turn, Rose has also set up Kim for spiking Dawn’s (Olivia Bromley) drink which led to a car accident.
Although Emmerdale viewers know that Rose was behind the drink spiking, having bribed a dealer, she craftily staged an intervention to make it seem as though Kim was to blame. Kim, however, realised that Rose was the culprit, reports the Express.
Meanwhile, Dawn announced she was leaving Home Farm and taking her children with her, stating they wouldn’t be safe around their stepmother Kim.
Despite owning the vast property, Kim packed her bags and checked into a local B&B.
This isn’t the first hurdle she’s faced in retaining Home Farm, following Caleb’s (William Ash) attempt to seize the estate.
Next week on Emmerdale, Rose ups the ante in her devious scheme as she tries to get cosy with her ex-hubby Will when Kim’s back is turned. The big question on everyone’s lips: will Will fall for it?
The viewers are up in arms over why Kim would let Will and his clan take over her pad without a scrap, yelling for her to reclaim her turf, and booting out Rose, Dawn, and hubby Will.
A miffed fan hit up an Emmerdale Facebook group, spouting: “What I don’t understand is that Dawn and her family swan it around Kim’s house like they own it – giving ultimatums and orders to Kim and Kim knows she didn’t spike the drink – if I were her I’d chuck those freeloaders out pronto!”
Another ticked-off viewer exclaimed: “She’s delusional if she thinks that Kim will put up with all their crap, Wait for the fireworks to start.”
Butting in, another added: “The thing that gets me is the way she (Dawn) is controlling Kim and Home Farm which unless I’ve been in a coma is Kim’s house, Dawn is on about virus control yet she invited a random stranger to live in Kim’s house and now has the audacity to treat Kim like dirt.”
Fancying a bit of old-school Kim, one said: “I think it’s about time Kim snapped and actually threw all the freeloaders out, Kim’s character needs to show her dark side again! “.
Jumping on the bandwagon, a fan pressed: “Agree she has been far too nice lately bring back nasty Kim”, while another backed them up: “Totally agree been saying tell that lot to get out, they’re letting KIM go soft and that’s not her.” (sic)
Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7.30pm on ITV.
