Sue Barker ‘tempted’ for A Question Of Sport return if BBC revive show

Sue Barker admitted she’d be “tempted” to return if the BBC revived A Question Of Sport.

The 68-year-old said presenting the quiz show was the “best fun” as sports stars were able to show their true personality. The former tennis player and Wimbledon presenter hosted A Question Of Sport from 1997 until 2021.

After a stint with Paddy McGuinness hosting, production of the show was ceased in 2023.

The BBC has not confirmed the plug has been pulled for good but Sue told the Monday Mile podcast: “It was just the best show. I’m really disappointed for this next batch of athletes – they won’t have that experience.

“Hopefully they’ll bring it back because they haven’t said they’re going to bin it forever. So bring it back and have fun again, it’ll be great.

She said athletes enjoyed the chance to “just relax and you get to know the real person.” When asked if she’d return to host the show, Barker said: “I would be amazingly tempted.”

Elsewhere, a ‘brash’ new Netflix film has left viewers crying as they have ‘never laughed so much’. The film, featuring a plethora of A-list stars, is said not to be for ‘prudes’ due to its naughty humour.

Film buffs on the Netflix Bangers Facebook group have been singing their praises for ‘Wicked Little Letters’. One person wrote: “If you need a good laugh and are not prudish then I 100% recommend watching Wicked Little Letters.

“I’ve never laughed so much it’s brilliant [clapping emoji].”

Someone else said: “I think that’s Olivia Colman. She’s such a brilliant actress. Mad as a box of frogs too!” The 2024 comedy that is currently streaming on Netflix includes: Olivia Colman, Jessie Buckley, Anjana Vasan, Alisha Weir, Hugh Skinner, Timothy Spall, Gemma Jones, Joanna Scalan, Eileen Atkins, Lolly Adefope, Malachi Kirby and Paul Chahidi.
