Ryan Reynolds ‘just found out’ Blake Lively’s real name – after 12 years of marriage

Ryan Reynolds joked that he didn’t know his wife Blake Lively’s real last name after 12 years of marriage.

The 36-year-old star recently unveiled her new haircare company Blake Brown Beauty on July 31, ahead of its launch later this year. The Hollywood icon, who is currently enjoying the huge success of his new film Deadpool & Wolverine, congratulated the mum-of-four online.

Taking to his Instagram Stories, he showered the Gossip Girl star with praise for her latest business venture. The 47-year-old hunk shared how “obscenely proud” of Blake he is, quipping he “just found out” her name is Brown.

Blake Brown Beauty is named after the star’s father Earnest Brown, who changed his name to Earnest Lively after tying the knot to her mother Elaine Lively in 1979. Ryan wrote that Blake’s new line of haircare must-haves is “exactly what you’d expect of a hyper-obsessive, detail addicted, uncompromising quality control genius.”

It didn’t take long before the actress responded to her husband on her own Instagram account. In their classic comedic style, the doting mum cheekily suggested that he should follow in her father’s footsteps and change his surname too.

She replied: “Now that I think about it, Ryan Lively has a nice ring to it. Your move, Reynolds.” The A-list couple, who have a long history of trolling each other on social media, recently attended the premiere of Marvel’s smash-hit Deadpool & Wolverine together.

Blake showed her support for her husband, who plays the wise-cracking superhero, by channelling his character as she strutted her stuff on the red carpet. Calling Blake Brown Beauty her “newest baby”, Blake revealed the beauty brand has been in the works for seven years.

Taking to Instagram, she shared a lengthy post about her new company. Launching with eight products, Blake Brown Beauty promises a simplified, affordable hair care routine that the busy mum swears by.

She explained: “[My hair is] my longest companion in life. For 36 years and counting. And like any relationship, it’s healthiest when you take good care of each other.

“To love it well, I’ve found a system that has worked wonders for me, a hack of sorts through decades of working with the very best people in the industry, and silly amounts of trial and error.

“I spent 7 years (I know. It toggles between impressive and wtf took so long) obsessively developing every detail of my newest baby, @blakebrownbeauty.”

It comes after Ryan revealed the name of his and Blake’s youngest child 16 months after they little one was born. He confirmed the toddler’s name is Olin while speaking at the world premiere of Deadpool & Wolverine, also starring Hugh Jackman.

Olin is a Nordic-inspired name that means “ancestor’s heir” or “to inherit”. The star later revealed Olin’s is the couple’s only son during a heartwarming conversation with John Bell, a Wrexham AFC fan who lost his son.
