Katie Price judge makes cutting ‘Einstein’ dig as she complains about court costs

A judge in Katie Price ‘s ongoing legal woes has made a humiliating dig.

The mum-of-five was in court on Friday (August 9) hours after she was arrested at Heathrow Airport. A warrant for her arrest had been issued after she failed to attend a previous bankruptcy hearing.

Judge Schaffer told her she must attend a further court appearance later this month. But Katie asked if she could appear remotely.

The judge denied this request, leading Katie to make another plea. She said: “I find it difficult in court. I have been assessed by another high court.”

She added: “Now with the legal advice, I tried to get legal advice but I’ve been charged £50,000 upfront. Now being in bankruptcy at the moment, the bankruptcy is taking 40%.

“I’m finding it difficult to do that. I can’t even get legal aid because I earn.”

But Judge Schaffer replied: “This is a discreet application. It doesn’t take Einstein to do it.”

The judge also told her to instruct a solicitor which should cost around £500, not £50,000. She will have to attend court on August 27 and provide documents upon request.

Katie was told: “There are going to be two forms of undertakings, the first is you have to attend your public examination before the court when it is listed. You ave to attend that date, no ifs or buts, no holidays, no going abroad, you have to attend that date.”

She was warned she may be arrested again if she failed to attend. Katie said: “I will move my diary for it.”
