Kelly Brook said she “saw a new side” to her husband on their “honeymoon from hell”.
Brook finally tied the knot in a lavish Italian ceremony with longtime partner Jeremy Parisi in 2022, much to the delight of her fans across her social media. However, because of clashing commitments the pair were unable to find the time to indulge in a honeymoon.
As a result, when the BBC came to the couple with the opportunity of some much needed time off, the pair jumped at the chance. However, this soon changed as the couple realised what they had got themselves in for.

Kelly and Jeremy are taking part in the celebrity version of BBC favourite Race Across the World. The show sees five famous faces and their loved one trek their way from one destination to the other – with just the money for an airplane ticket.
TV star Kelly, 44, and model Jeremy, 39, took on the challenge, having to navigate the lengths of Brazil and Chile – all while having just £1,100 each. The couple battled their way through the Amazon rainforest, intense heat and orienteering, which left viewers in stitches as they argued about which way the map should be read.
But reflecting on the stint on the show, Kelly admitted that she was left stunned by her husband’s conduct during the show. She said in an interview with Closer Magazine that her perspective on her partner changed drastically during the course of filming.
“We hadn’t had a honeymoon and I said to Jeremy we should consider this as a fun alternative, a once-in-a-lifetime experience,” Kelly recalled. “At times, it was the honeymoon from hell – at other times it was absolutely glorious.
“It’s got to be the most memorable honeymoon ever,” she insisted. Looking at how she and Jeremy coped with the stress of the race, Kelly confessed: “I didn’t realise how competitive he was, like, crazy competitive – I’m much more about the experience; I think I got on his nerves because he was full steam ahead.”
She went on to joke: “If Jeremy was doing the race alone, he’d have finished it in a week. I was kind of slowing him down a little bit and I was like, ‘let’s have a Brazilian barbecue one day or let’s go to the beach.'”
Kelly added that despite there being low points during the course of the experience, she was impressed with how “strong” she was during the course of the show. Whilst she meant mentally, she also meant physically as she recalled that at points during the trip, she was “carrying both of our bags”.
Jeremy and Kelly were one of five pairs to take on the challenge, alongside Jeff Brazier and son Freddie; as well as BBC Radio 2 DJ Scott Mills and his fiancé Sam Vaughan. This will also mark Kelly’s comeback to TV as she gears up for her next project – detailing her move to Italy and her ditching the UK.
