Molly-Mae and Tommy split is why Brits should ‘turn to swinging as times are changing’

A swinger says married people should be truthful about what they really want in the bedroom because ‘times are changing’.

Kaye Davis, 45, spoke after it was reported that Tommy Fury ‘cheated’ on his ex-fiancée Molly-Mae Hague — something he denies.

And the nurse, from Portsmouth, believes the fairytale of getting married and living happily ever after with just one other sexual partner is no longer as desirable.

Kaye — recently shamed for sharing her ‘inappropriate’ wedding vows — embraced swinging in her 40s after she told her husband, Paul, that she ‘regretted not playing the field’ in her younger years.

Kaye and Paul Davis have been together for over ten years

They have since said ethical non-monogamy has enhanced their relationship where trust is the key component.

And talking to the Daily Star about the recent high-profile break-up, she said: “We obviously don’t know the reasoning behind Tommy Fury reportedly being unfaithful to Molly-Mae and while swinging can add or benefit a relationship that may crave extra sexual excitement, it may be he was missing an emotional component.

“If you are thinking about opening your relationship or want to try something new, you have to be completely open. We honestly do not think you have anything to lose in being direct and it’s likely your partner will be in agreement — or at least thank you for being honest.

“Times are changing and the more conventional approaches are not always necessarily the way you should live your life. Be happy, love and look after one another, share your experiences and enjoy riding (can be taken literally) the new journey — it is fun.”

Five British dating apps for ethical non-monogamy have emerged since 2019 and the BBC reported how one had 350% growth in Manchester, 250% growth in Bristol and 200% customer growth in the capital in the past year.

And a YouGov survey found in 2019 that 7% of adults in Britain said they had been in a consensual non-monogamous relationship, compared to just 2% in 2015.

Molly-Mae has not publicly addressed claims that Tommy betrayed her but a source told the Sun that she was aware that he was unfaithful a ‘number of times’.

Kaye was never unfaithful to Paul and instead she spoke to him in depth about their fantasies and the rationale behind opening up the sexual side of their relationship before they did so.

She said ‘clear and honest communication is paramount’ and she explained how boundaries may shift as people progress in the swinging lifestyle.

But she warned Brits that swinging would not fix marriages and it is better suited for couples who are interested in ‘enhancing’ their relationship by adding something extra.

Kaye added: “In our experience the majority of people that we’ve met and had encounters with were in a strong relationship and had clear ideas about what they wanted to get out of the experience.

“It would be very difficult to discuss or even try to get into this type of dynamic if you were not already in a comfortable and stable relationship.

“Although we have spoken to people who clearly loved one another but just needed something extra to which the lifestyle reignited the spark.”

Former Love Islands Molly-Mae and Tommy stunned their millions of followers after the mum released an emotional statement last week confirming the breakup where she said Bambi will be the “most important thing”.

Tommy followed up with his own statement where he said he was “heartbroken” that his relationship with his fellow Love Islander ended.
