Katie Price in foul-mouthed outburst as latest court hearing is adjourned

Katie Price has been told she can attend a “private interview” over her finances – rather than air it all out in court.

On Tuesday (August 27), Katie was due to face questions from barristers in a specialist bankruptcy court hearing. However, a judge adjourned the hearing after the mum-of-five’s lawyers made a plea.

The 46-year-old’s legal team asked for the former glamour model to attend a “private interview” instead of a public examination.

One of Price’s legal representatives Bertie Beor-Roberts said: “We are asking the court to adjourn the examination generally. The general purpose is to permit Price to attend a private interview with the trustee and then to continue to engage constructively.”

Chief Insolvency and Companies Court Judge Nicholas Briggs confirmed that he would be able to go ahead with the adjournment. The judge asked the star whether she would be willing to attend a private interview on September 24.

Price, who turned up to the hearing at the Rolls Building donning an all-black outfit and statement black sunglasses, agreed: “I do.” As she left court, Price snapped at reporters on the scene: “I hope you reporters write a good story today, won’t you, all the bulls**t that you write, scumbags.”

She decided not to speak to any journalists on the way in and arrived two hours before her appointment in a black cab. However, there was a surprise waiting for Katie in the form of her ex-husband.

Celebrity Big Brother winner Alex Reid attended the legal meeting and donned a white T-shirt and pink shorts for the event. She was wed to him between 2010 and 2012.

The I’m A Celeb icon was first declared bankrupt in 2019 and then again in March 2024, after she owed over £750,000 in a tax debt. Despite the financial blow, she has continued to enjoy lavish holidays and multiple cosmetic procedures.

Earlier this month there was a warrant issued for her arrest after she failed to attend a previous court date. At the time, Katie penned online: “I am aware that I am about to be detained at the airport which is obviously what the courts feel is necessary.

“I do hope of course for my sons sake who is with me that they will allow some dignity and protection for at least his sake as this will be extremely disturbing for him to see. Whilst I understand the importance and severity of the matter I do feel like I am being treated like a criminal.”
