Celebs Go Dating viewers urge one show star to stop bad habit while on dates

The current series of Celebs Go Dating is in full swing, with the famous faces going on dates with the guidance of the dating experts, Paul C Brunson, Anna Williamson and Dr Tara.

On Tuesday night’s episode, former Coronation Street star Helen Flanagan went on a second date with Luke after choosing him at the brunch over her other date.

The pair headed to a sea food restaurant as they ate oysters and sipped on champagne as well as discussing themselves with one another in an effort to find out more.

However, viewers were quick to point out Helen’s bad habit of asking her dates a question and then over-talking them and speaking about herself.

Taking to Instagram, one person quipped: “Stop talking about yourself Helen and be more engaged, show interest, talk about his hobbies instead of reverting it back to yourself the whole time.”

Another fan of the show commented: “She asks a question about him and immediately turns the conversation back to herself. I feel for her as she seems to crave flattery and affection.”

Somebody else penned: “All about her. She needed to follow up when he said his hobbies but she went right back to herself.”

Yet another expressed: “Bloody hell I couldn’t sit there while someone just wants to talk about themselves.”

However, not everybody felt the same way as one fan rushed to defend Helen by adding: “Helen, you’re lovely. I think you come across brilliantly.”

In addition to Helen, the other celebrities looking for love on this series include Love Island’s Chris Taylor, Made in Chelsea lothario Tristan Phipps and singer Jamelia.

Also taking part are Gogglebox’s Stephen Webb and Married At First Sight icon Ella Morgan.

Lauryn Goodman will be joining the other famous faces at a later date as fans anticipate her speaking about her messy situation with her children’s father and football ace Kyle Walker.

The six famous faces had earlier been invited to a brunch where they were confronted by their previous dates and given feedback.

Each celebrity was sat in front of two of their dates and the dating coaches read out the feedback which lead to some awkward moments.

Celebs Go Dating continues tonight at 9pm on E4 and 4OD.
