Olivia Attwood’s Bad Boyfriends: What to expect from the new series and where to watch it

Olivia Attwood is back and this time she’s whipping Bad Boyfriends into shape with her brand new show which starts on Sunday, September 1 at 9pm on ITV2.

The new reality format will see eight unsuspecting bad boyfriends flown to a Greek island and told they’re taking part in a series about manhood and bromance. However, the boys’ holiday will be brought to an abrupt halt when Love Island legend and documentary maker Olivia rocks up to tell them they’re on an entirely different show.

The men then get the shock of their lives when each of their girlfriends appears and tells them they need to be whipped into shape to make them better boyfriends.

Olivia has her work cut out with trying to get these commitment phobe, serial cheaters and big kids to change their ways across the 11 episodes.

The boys will compete in a series of head-to-head challenges in order to be crowned the most improved boyfriend. ITV has teased that the show will promise plenty of drama, emotional moments and unexpected revelations as the relationships hit make or break.

Each week, the least improved boyfriend will be eliminated from the series, leaving one man to bag himself the title of winner, but not before being faced with one last huge dilemma.

Olivia appeared on This Morning earlier this week to tease what’s to come on the show and revealed it nearly didn’t happen because the men head threatened to leave once finding out the truth.

She told hosts Craig Doyle and Sian Welby: “So it was a real thing of like, are they genuinely going to re-consent to this new show? We had a 24 hour period where all we had to do was sit and wait. It was horrible.

“We had been making this thing for over a year and they could all just go, ‘No, I’m not doing this’.”

Thankfully, all eight men decided to stick around and gave consent to filming of the show, but some still weren’t happy.

She continued: “Some of them were very explosive out of the gate. Some of them it kind of bubbled on for a few days, some took it quite well.”

The eight couples were unveiled and feature Anya and Bayley, Carly and Tom J, Ryan and Sapphia and Lana and Tom T. Also hoping to improve their relationships are Ruben and Liily, Jordi and Sam, Viktor and Maria and Anna and Eli.

Viewers will have seen a few of the contestants on television before, with Anya and Bayley starring on Ex On The Beach and Love Island respectively.

As well as this pair, contestant Sam appeared on series 18 of Big Brother on Channel 5 and enjoyed a romance with Ibiza Weekender star Ellie Young.
