Lizzie Cundy calls for ‘respect’ from Lauryn Goodman as family drama unfolds

Lizzie Cundy has expressed sympathy for Kyle Walker’s wife Annie Kilner amidst the footballer’s ongoing drama with his ex, Lauryn Goodman.

The Manchester City star’s marriage to Annie has been under scrutiny following his brief flings with Lauryn, who is the mother of his two children, Kairo, four, and Kinara, one.

Despite having no contact with Lauryn, Walker continues to provide child support for their kids. Lauryn, 33, frequently takes swipes at Kyle and Annie on social media and discusses her past encounters with the England vice-captain in the press.

As she gears up for her appearance on E4’s Celebs Go Dating, Lizzie Cundy has shared her thoughts on the situation, drawing from her own experience as the ex-wife of former Chelsea and Tottenham player, Jason Cundy.

In an exclusive chat with the Mirror, Lizzie, 56, confessed: “I feel sorry for both Annie and Lauryn, I really feel for both of them. He’s in the wrong, without a shadow of a doubt, footballers think they’re invincible and can get away with it. From the age of seven they’re told they’re great and go on to earn huge amounts of money.”

Lizzie didn’t hold back as she weighed in on the drama between Kyle Walker and his ex Lauryn Goodman. “I really do feel for Annie, she’s just had a baby and there is Lauryn and she’s got a camera crew, she’s on telly, if I was Lauryn, I’d give it a bit of time and be more respectful.

“It’s hard for everyone involved, he’s done wrong. It’s very tough because there are kids involved. I did think it wasn’t good that Lauryn went to the Euros, you don’t want to be cast out from the football world which I think has happened.”

She continued to dish out her thoughts: “Nobody wants to be the Yoko Ono of the football world. I don’t agree with her, she knew he was with someone else at the time and had a family. I’ve had it done to me, I know that pain and what it’s like, it’s very tough. Kyle is the baddie, I think after the court case people started to sympathise with him from all the financial demands she was making, which I don’t think Mariah Carey would even ask for.”

The drama thickens with revelations about the Euro tournament row. Lauryn Goodman claims she and son Kairo were invited by Kyle to the recent Euros held in Germany, but an insider close to Kyle claimed the opposite.

Speaking earlier to the Mirror, the source asserted Walker, 34, maintains no emotional bond with Kairo or Kinara for as long as Lauryn keeps slating him publicly.
