Strictly Come Dancing’s Shirley Ballas has never held back on the juicy details.
The 64 year old is in a relationship with actor Danny Taylor, who is 12 years younger, and has frequently flaunted her saucy side with a series of risqué revelations over the years. As a prominent figure on a show notorious for its steamy scandals, Shirley has not been afraid to reveal her naughtier nature.
Shirley has made it clear that her romantic fire is still very much alive, often using cheeky innuendos to signal that her bedroom antics are far from cooling down.
Her “Horlicks and a lot of sex” revelation came after a particularly steamy weekend.

The dance legend left jaws on the floor when she revealed her ultimate weekend recipe is mixing “lots” of Horlicks and plenty of sex. Speaking to The Sun, Shirley couldn’t resist singing the praises of her younger beau, Danny Taylor, following a passionate weekend together.
The BBC star didn’t hold back: “I’d want Horlicks and sex. Lots of Horlicks and sex – or a bit of Horlicks and a lot of sex. My Danny just left this morning, we had a marvellous weekend together.” She teased their weekend exploits, revealing: “There was lots of Horlicks. It was beautiful.”
The lovebirds have been inseparable since 2019 after meeting during panto rehearsals for Jack And The Beanstalk, growing stronger by the day. Shirley Ballas sure knows how to spice things up, not only on the dance floor but also in print.
In her sizzling fiction novel “Murder on the Dance Floor,” Ballas shares steamy snippets inspired by real-life escapades.
According to the saucy stories she let slip to Good Housekeeping, once upon a time dancers weren’t just mastering steps but were quite busy getting down and dirty in cupboards. Discussing her book with Good Housekeeping, Shirley revealed: “I’ve worked with a brilliant writer called Sheila McClure and we’ve covered it all bullying, backstabbing, dancers having sex in broom cupboards all these things that I’ve seen, heard or witnessed. Don’t be fooled into thinking the dance industry is all baubles, bangles and beads!”
Back in 2017, the former ballroom queen dropped a bombshell on Strictly Come Dancing. The audience was left gobsmacked as she admitted to fantasising about contestant and Eastenders hunk Davood Ghadami, confessing she had thoughts about him during the wee hours.
After watching his outstanding performance and racy routine to Saturday Night Fever, she couldn’t keep her thoughts from spilling out. She quipped: “I couldn’t sleep a wink because all I could think of was you grinding in my face.”
During an episode of Family Fortunes, things turned steamy when Shirley and boyfriend Danny Taylor appeared as guests on the show, competing for the chance to win some cash for charity. ITV viewers were left gobsmacked when Shirley Ballas made a number of crude sex innuendos about her boyfriend stamina in the bedroom.
Host Gino D’Acampo lead the discussion asking the star if she “judges everything? ” In response, Shirley quipped: “I like to scan everything and judge from the bottom up,” adding: “And I like to give positive critique,” which saw Gino erupt into fits of laughter.
Continuing the chat, Gino then asked Shirley if she has taught Daniel any dance moves. “I actually taught him the Waltz, and some cha-cha,” she replied.” Showing off some hip action, Gino quizzed: “Is he a good… cha-cha guy? ” “He’s got a lot of rhythm. Particularly when he’s had a glass of wine”, prompted Shirley. “”.
The ex-Latin ballroom queen admitted she wouldn’t have minded being wrapped up in a bit of a scandal herself. Chatting with the Telegraph about whether the dreaded ‘Strictly curse’ ever affected her, she cheekily said: “If only it would.”
