ITV star makes Eamonn Holmes split confession as she praises Ruth Langsford

Coleen Nolan has made a confession about Ruth Langsford’s split.

She praised her “elegant” friend and Loose Women co-star for the mature way in which she’s dealt with her split from Eamonn Holmes. Ruth and Eamonn announced their split in May after 14 years of marriage and 27 years together.

Ruth, 64, has kept quiet about the details surrounding their break-up and remained focused on her work. But Coleen has admitted she would have “spilled her guts” about the split if it were here.

Speaking about her co-star’s split four months later, Coleen shared: “Ruth and I keep in touch all the time. She’s back at work now, which is great because I really missed her.”

She added: “I don’t want to say too much because it’s not my place to discuss Ruth’s life, but from a friend’s perspective, I’ve never met anyone who has handled something with so much dignity and pride.

“She’s just such a lady, more of a lady then I’ll ever be, I would’ve spilled my guts right now – as I do, that’s my problem, I say too much. She’s been absolutely amazing, she really has.”

Coleen also revealed that she had asked Ruth how she managed to stay quiet and even offered some advice, but claims Ruth didn’t take it on board. “I’ve given her advice but she doesn’t listen to me, I’m going, ‘How can you not say anything?’, but I don’t need to give her advice,” she revealed to Woman Magazine.

Coleen discussed how she checks in on Ruth, adding: “I just love her and I’m in awe of how she’s handled everything.” Ruth and Eamonn are parents to 22-year-old son Jack, and Eamonn has three older children from his previous marriage.

Both Ruth and Eamonn, who wed in 2010, have been spotted wearing their wedding rings after their split. Eamonn has been linked to rumoured girlfriend Katie Alexander and the pair were spotted looking loved up in Barcelona.

When a curious fan asked Ruth on social media why she still wore hers, she gave a straightforward response: “Because I’m still married.”

It’s understood that Ruth continues to live in their former family home in Surrey. Eamonn is said to be renting an apartment in London near the GB News studio.
