MAFS UK expert addresses couple’s future on show after ‘awkward’ sibling remark

Married at First Sight UK star Paul Brunson has addressed Caspar and Emma’s future as a couple.

It seemed like the newlyweds were doomed when Caspar, 31, said his new bride reminded him of his twin sister. Not only this, but he admitted he didn’t find the sales manager “sexy” when she stripped down to a bikini on their honeymoon.

Poor Emma was shocked. She declared: “If you didn’t think I was sexy in my f***ing wedding dress and my gorgeous bikini today, I don’t know what hope there is.”

But if you thought that was it for the couple, you’d be wrong. MAFS UK coach Paul Brunson has admitted that Caspar comparing Emma to his twin is “awkward”, but the couple haven’t given up on love just yet.

Speaking exclusively to Daily Star, he explained that the pair are “willing to fight” for their relationship in future episodes. He said: “It’s awkward [Caspar’s comparison], I agree with that.”

The dating guru suggested the pair could still be compatible if they’re willing to put the effort in. He continued: “I will say that I believe that everyone has the ability to be compatible with everyone else, and I know that in of itself is controversial, but that’s research by the Goethe Institute, that everyone, in essence, is compatible.

“The question is, what behaviours do you bring to it [the relationship]? What preconceptions do you bring to the issue?. How much are you willing to fight for it? I can tell you without giving too much away that they’re [Caspar and Emma] both willing to fight.”

Caspar revealed he preferred “petite” women. He told the cameras: “She’s [Emma] a very confident person in herself and her body, but first time seeing Emma in a bikini, I’m not feeling sexual sparks that I was hoping to feel.

“Liking a more petite woman generally is something I have always fancied more than curves. That’s just my preference.” Comparing Emma to his sister, he said: “Watching you and her laugh together, there’s an element and sort of mannerisms – I’m equating one with the other and it’s not good.”

Fans were fuming with Caspar’s remarks and delighted when she called out his “view of women” after he told her the bikini wasn’t doing it for him. She fumed: “But what we’re here to do is look beyond that and what you need to do is look beyond that because my personality, my confidence should help you be more confident and you should see qualities bigger than my clothes size. You need to work on your view of women.”

He said of the pod: “We Need To Talk is a very special project. It is unbelievable because of everyone here. The passion that the Flight Studio team has is second to none.

“When the project came out you could feel the cheering, literally. That’s what unifies everyone here in this building is the level of passion.”
