A Grange Hill star left nearly a quarter-of-a-million pounds in his will when he died, it has been revealed.
Actor Stuart Organ, who played Mr Robson and was the longest-serving cast member on the iconic children’s BBC school drama, died in February following a brief illness at the age of 72.
Documents have shown that Organ, from Glastonbury, Somerset, had £234,693 in his estate at the time of his death. He bequeathed a few thousand each to his nephew, niece and godchildren.

However, the majority of his estate was left to his wife Jean, whom he married in 2002, as reported by NeedToKnow. Organ did not have any children.
He is best remembered for his 15-year stint on the BBC’s Grange Hill, where his character Peter Robson first appeared as the head of PE in 1988 before becoming the headmaster a decade later.
The show, which ran from 1978 to 2008, depicted life in a London comprehensive school and gained attention for addressing major issues such as racism, drug abuse, teenage pregnancy, mental illness, and HIV and Aids.
Organ, who began his acting career in Leeds in 1975, also had roles in the soap Brookside and Doctor Who. He lent his voice to cartoons and video games like Star Wars: The Old Republic.
London Underground passengers would have recognised Organ’s voice announcing stations, lines, late arrivals and reminding users to mind the gap.
