Selena Gomez ‘grieving’ after devastating news that could ‘jeopardise’ her life

Selena Gomez has been “grieving” after some tragic news.

The songstress recently revealed that a potential pregnancy would put her life and the baby’s at risk, with Gomez instead looking to adoption and surrogacy for the future. The singer-songwriter, 32, opened up about her desire to become a parent in a recent interview.

Selena shared that due to medical issues, she can’t “carry her own children,” but is “thankful” for the other options available. Selena – who has previously spoken about various health struggles including having raised awareness around lupus – discussed her plans with Vanity Fair for the October issue of the monthly magazine.

Discussing options available to her, Selena said that she considers it “a blessing” that there are “wonderful people” open to surrogacy or adoption, which are “huge possibilities” for her. Gomez is “really thankful” for the “other outlets” for people who are “dying to be moms” just like her.

She revealed that when reflecting on her life prior to the couple’s relationship, she realised that family is “the most important thing” to her.
