‘Phillip Schofield still owes me apology for making me Britain’s most hated woman’

‘Britain’s most hated woman’ claims she earned her unflattering title because of Phillip Schofield.

Carla Bellucci, 42, has not forgiven the TV presenter five years after she appeared as a guest on This Morning.

A lot has changed for Schofield, 62, since then and he recently broke his silence on his bombshell TV return on Cast Away on Channel 5.

He left the popular chat show last year after his relationship with a much younger TV runner was exposed – but he will soon be back on our screens.

But one woman who is not welcoming the news is Carla who claims he still owes her an apology for what she claimed was unfair treatment on This Morning back in 2019.

The influencer was on the couch with Phil and Holly talking about faking depression to blag a nose job on the NHS.

She was later branded ‘Britain’s most hated woman’ and Carla, who is from Hitchin, Herts, blamed Phillip for it.

And speaking after he announced his telly return, she told us: “I have seen Phillip has a new show, what a come down for him. I actually feel sorry for him going from ITV to Channel 5.

“I hope while he was on Cast Away island he thought about being such a d*** to me. I’m still waiting for my apology five years later.

“He has now turned off all his comments on his posts like I still have to do to this day because of how he made the nation portray. What goes around comes around.”

Schofield shared a clip looking dishevelled while sitting on a tropical sandy beach with the caption: “Now you know how I spent my Summer! Alone for 10 days, no food, no water, no crew. My story of survival, both on a desert island and off it.”

He left the comments turned off on the post, something Carla elects to do on her own Instagram account because of past trolling.

Carla has also changed a lot in recent years and having a fourth child made her declare she was a t**t for conning the NHS. She had the change of heart after doctors saved her life during the traumatic birth where she stopped breathing for over two minutes.

But despite acknowledging being in the wrong in 2019, she said Schofield’s judgement of her on live TV went too far.

She told us in a previous interview: “I was on This Morning for a very controversial reason and I get that it didn’t look good. But I was really comfortable around Holly even though I knew I was going to get a good grilling.

“But beforehand I remember looking up to Phil thinking he is a good man but I remember him telling me I was going to get battered on social media… it was the way he said it… it was with pleasure.

“I felt like I was being bullied and I was just thinking ‘s***’. I used to really have respect for him but I just think with all this coming out there is one word, karma. He was harsh, I knew what I was in for but he was harsh.”

Afterwards she said she fell into a six-month depression after the show and needed therapy to recover.

The Daily Star has contacted Phillip Schofield’s reps for a response to claims in this story.
