P Diddy and Jennifer Lopez were arrested together.
Back in 1999, while the pair were still dating, Diddy was arrested after a shooting in a New York City eight years prior. Forbes has reported that at the time the disagreement got ugly, resulting in shots fired with three people injured.
Diddy and Lopez left the scene and were involved in a police car chase. It was reported that a stolen gun was found in the car and Lopez and Combs were both arrested, charged with criminal possession of stolen property – however, Lopez’s charges were dropped overnight.

P Diddy was also given additional charges of bribery as it was alleged the rapper tried to offer the car’s driver a whopping $50,000 to say that the gun belonged to him. Eventually he was acquitted and nobody was charged or found guilty of the shooting.

The Jenny From The Block singer has rarely touched upon the incident in the years following her arrest, although she did briefly mention it during an interview with British ELLE in 2000. The starlet was clearly shocked by what had happened and admitted the whole thing “was a complete nightmare”.

Lopez and Combs were in an on-off relationship between 1999 and 2001. In a 2014 interview with Access Hollywood, JLo said the rapper “gave her so many cues and taught her so many things.”
At the time, she also said that she still had “so much mutual respect and admiration” for the I’ll Be Missing You hitmaker. However, just two years after their split Jennifer was utterly distraught about the breakup.

While speaking to Vibe magazine, Lopez confessed: “It was the first time I was with someone who wasn’t faithful. I was in this relationship with Puff where I was totally crying, crazy and going nuts. It really took my whole life in a tailspin.”
