Fred and Gino ditch Gordon Ramsay for new duo show without famous chef

Fred Sirieix and Gino D’Acampo are ditching Gordon Ramsay for their new telly adventure.

The culinary trio usually ventures out across the world as a three but this time the pair have ditched Gordon. First Dates star Fred spoke exclusively to Daily Star ahead of his new show.

When asked if Gordon, Gino and Fred would be making a TV comeback, he told us: “I have actually got a new show with Gino coming out on ITV in December. Can’t tell you much more about it now, but watch this space!”

We’re not certain why Gordon has been left out of the equation just yet – but fans will be keen to know why after the three became fan faves on their popular ITV show.

Gordon isn’t coming on their next adventure

Fred spoke to us as he promoted Knorr’s new campaign after they released Red Wine and White Wine Stock Pots. Talking about the collaboration, Fred said: “I have teamed up with Knorr to uncover the nation’s date night woes, and offer tips & tricks on how people can elevate their mid-week meals and at-home date nights.

“Knorr recently conducted some research on the common mistakes Brits make when cooking at home and what turns guests off which is great because the more we know, the more we can avoid these faux pas!”

He added: “The campaign is to celebrate the brand’s launch of the new Red Wine and White Wine Stock Pots, which can automatically add a touch of magic (and most importantly, flavour) to mundane mid-week meals so we don’t get bored of cooking at home.

“Knorr’s research shows that 67% of us are cooking more at home in the past year and mealtimes are a great way to relax and reconnect with loved ones, so this conversation is more important than ever.”

Fred also lifted the lid on whether he had ever been asked on a romantic date with any famous faces. Fred declared: “I have been with my gorgeous fiancée Fruitcake for so long, but I go on plenty of dates with my good mate Gino.

“After all, date night can also include having dinner with your friends at home – it doesn’t have to be about spending a lot of money or hours at the hob. A recent survey from stock-pot connoisseurs Knorr revealed that around 4/10 of us don’t make time for date nights at home because they don’t feel confident in cooking abilities or don’t have the time.

Fred emphasis the importance of quality time at the table

“I’d love to encourage more people to really see mealtimes as a special opportunity to spend time with people who are important to you.”
