“These are the exchanges that one has, and it’s all part of creativity, isn’t it?”

Oldman added that his role involves very little effort to prepare for.

“I go into that trailer 30 minutes in the makeup. They put a lot of grease and product in my hair, and they give me some broken veins and things on the nose, and then I’m out the door ready to go really?”

Oldman feels that Lamb allows him the chance to play a man who is utterly unconcerned about the consequences of his actions or behavior.

“I think one of the reasons why they enjoy him so much is because we have to have a filter. We need to operate in society.

“He doesn’t have a filter. He’s absolute. That’s part of the joy of playing. He’s so direct and if he insults you, what are you going to do? You gonna fire him – no.”
