Big Brother hosts’ plan to shake up the action as they promise ‘new rules’ and twists

Big Brother hosts Will Best and AJ Odudu want to be at the centre of the action on the new series by going into the house.

The pair are hoping the show’s execs will send them in as part of a task or shock twist. In fact, they’re so keen for it to happen they plan to bring it up at a production meeting.

Will told the Daily Star Sunday: “Going in while it was being filmed, would be surreal. It’s one thing hosting it, but to be in the house would be a whole different thing. It’s a good idea.

“I would definitely go in should it be required. It would be awesome. I might suggest it.”

And AJ said: “This is a new series and there are new rules, so never say never. Watch this space.”

While they’re keen to go into the house, they know they’d be nervous as hell if they actually got to do it.

Will added: “Before the last series started, we went into the house to have a look around and it was a pretty intense experience. When you’ve grown up watching Big Brother, sitting on the diary room chair is a bit emotional.

“Even just going in the camera runs is surreal because you’re so close to the action. Actually going inside would be even more surreal.”

AJ added: “I’d be so nervous to go in. You know there are cameras everywhere, but you can’t see a lot of them. You know that you’re being watched but you can’t see them doing it.

“Will and I are on camera for a living, but there would still be a sense of, ‘Oh my god’. There would be nervous energy.”

There’s a high chance Will and AJ are going to get their wish because producers are promising plenty of surprises on the new series. It kicks off on Sunday night with a live launch show and there will be twists from the off.

AJ said: “There is always a loose plan, but as soon as the series starts, those plans change. That’s when the brainstorming really starts.

“You can never predict what’ll happen. When the housemates walk in, you never know how it’ll go.”

Will added: “Anything can happen. We just don’t know what it’ll be.”
