Sex Pistols star reveals why he’s ‘annoyed’ with Oasis as they have ‘a lot to answer for’

Sex Pistols and Oasis have both reunited this year but it appears there’s some love lost between them

Pistols bassist Glen Matlock spoke exclusively to Daily Star as he promoted his new solo tour which will kick off in Norwich on 15th November. The band reformed to do a group tour, albeit with a new vocalist, earlier this year.

Alongside their reunion, Oasis have also put their anger aside and decided to go on their first arena tour for over a decade. However, Glen shared the bugbear he had with the squabbling siblings.

When it came to their signature style, Glen claims they have had such an impact on the fashion world that affects how he buys his own clobber. He told us: “You know that whole baggy thing?

“I’m annoyed at them because they made it acceptable to make sleeves long and it made it harder for a bloke like me to get a good shirt so I hold them responsible entirely, like clothes for orangutans.”

When asked what he thinks about their comeback, Glen added: “Good luck to them, I think Liam Gallagher’s voice and personality is great. They’ve had a lot of success in the whole Manchester scene.”

The musician added: “Being an older bloke I tend to see where they borrowed ideas from and I think they need to come up with some of their own ideas. But at least they admit it, everybody nicks and borrows ideas but the trick is to kind of make it look like you haven’t done that but there you go.”
