ITV Tipping Point’s Ben Shephard forced to repeat question as player makes awkward mistake

ITV Tipping Point star Ben Shephard was forced to repeat his question after a player made an awkward mistake the moment didn’t go unnoticed by fans.

During Monday’s episode of the ITV hit game show, host Ben was back on our TV screens and was joined by three new hopeful contestants wanting to win some big cash.

Hoping to go home with the huge cash prize was primary school teacher John, foster carer Joyce from Colchester and George, a retired IT professional from Southampton.

George found himself in the spotlight as suffered an error that left Ben speechless. Making it to the next round alongside fellow contestant John, George opted to take on the next question.

Ben went on to remind the pair: “There is just £50 between you both and now we will find out who will make it to the final.”

Turning to George, he asked: “You’re just ahead, which means you get to take on the next question or would you like to offer it to John?”

George appeared confident as he said: “I’d like to go first.” Ben asked: “In February 2023, which British pop group that formed in the late 1990s announced that they were reuniting for a 25th anniversary tour.”

“I think it’s going to be the Beach Boys,” George guessed. Ben was left stunned as he questioned: “Beach Boys?”

It was clear that George got the question wrong as Ben burst out laughing and went on to repeat the question.

Ben then said: “I’m guessing you’re a Beach Boys fan then George. Let’s see if you’re right or if you have gifted it to John.”

He went on to reveal: “It’s not the Beach Boys. The answer is S Club 7, in fact.” The moment didn’t go unnoticed by fans, who went straight to social media to share their reactions.
