Emily Atack admits one thing scared her more than stripping off for drama Rivals

Emily Atack opened up about how she was more “worried” about her tennis skills than stripping off for her role in Rivals.

Starring in the Disney+ adaption of Dame Jilly Cooper’s beloved novel, the former ‘Inbetweeners’ actress dished all about her on-set jitters to Metro.co.uk, revealing: “I was worried about [the tennis match]. I thought, ‘Oh God, am I gonna have to actually know how to play tennis?’ Funny that was my worry, rather than the nudity.”

The 34-year-old confessed that the nude scene “ended up being quite a liberating experiences”, even adding how she found herself “so relaxed” in between takes.

Emily laughed heartily recounting the casual nature of her naked scenes: “I remember I had the towel and the robe in between takes; but by the end of it, honestly, I couldn’t put my clothes on, I was just running around like, ‘Woo.'”

She talked about how you can get so comfortable on set, you end up: “Sometimes […] sitting there with your knockers out, and you go, ‘Oh, right, okay, God, I’ve forgotten to put my robe on.'”

The supportive environment on set, created with the help of her crew, director, co-stars, and intimacy coordinators ensured a positive atmosphere, complete with a group hug post-scene.

Despite any initial apprehension, Emily conquered her nerves knowing this was a challenge she’d embraced when signing on for the project.

She candidly spoke out: “It’s scary when you have to do something like that, for sure. But I just think: I’m exactly where I need to be and I’m behaving as I should. This is a role that I’ve been cast in. It’s a scene that I signed a contract for that I said I was comfortable with.”
