Lawyers have made another bid to free Sean ‘P Diddy’ Combs from a horrific prison.
Before Diddy’s hearing on Oct. 10, a fresh judge ordered the court to halt the defence’s repeated requests. Judge Arun Subramanian dismissed the defence’s bail plea in a recent court document. Subramanian was given the case again, providing a new chance to discuss bail appeals.
However, the court chose to remove the documents that previously contained bail package proposals.

In court papers viewed by The Mirror, the judge stated: “The Clerk of Court is respectfully directed to terminate the motions at Dkts. 9 and 13, which were resolved prior to the reassignment of this case to me.”, reports the Mirror US.
Document 9 mentioned the initial bail package proposal which included a $50 million bond and the surrender of his passport. Document 13 provided a detailed argument from Diddy’s team which “addresses both risk of flight and danger to the community.” It also restates the previous package offer, adding new, strict conditions as well.
Combs’ legal team has suggested strict bail terms, including prohibiting women from entering his home unless they are family or the mothers of his children. They also propose that the troubled music tycoon would consent to weekly drug tests and avoid contact with any potential witnesses.
Additionally, Combs has promised to keep a visitors log, take weekly drug tests, and be under house arrest with GPS tracking.
In a legal brief, defence attorney Alexandria Shapiro penned: “The sensationalism surrounding his arrest has distorted the bail analysis: Mr. Combs was not released pending trial, even though he offered to comply with restrictive conditions that would have prevented any conceivable risk of flight or danger,”.
Court documents from Diddy’s team further assert: “Sean Combs has never evaded, avoided, eluded or run from a challenge in his life. He will not start now. As he has handled every hardship, he will meet this case head-on, he will work hard to defend himself, and he will prevail.”
Last month, the rapper was nicked on charges including racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion, and transportation to engage in prostitution. He was indicted by a grand jury after also facing a slew of civil lawsuits against him which included, among other allegations, rape.
In the filing, the defence includes evidence of both the team and Diddy cooperating with authorities, including giving the District Attorney direction on the rapper’s intended travel to New York in anticipation of an arrest.
Diddy’s team continues to vehemently deny all allegations against him.
