Loose Women’s Janet Street-Porter couldn’t help but flash a grin as she gave fans the latest on her health following her hip surgery.
The telly fave is currently off-air, post-operation, and was buzzing to share her progress with everyone. She’s been off the Loose Women panel, recovering from the op and dropped a bombshell about taking some time off to get back on her feet during her recent stint on the show.
Spilling the beans to her audience and fellow stars on the programme, she said: “I’m just going to go into hospital on Friday, have the operation on Friday afternoon, stay in hospital for a few days and then really, really work at rehab and physio so that I can come back as soon as possible.”

Now, stepping up her recovery game, Janet returned to social media. Posting on Instagram, the 77-year-old shared a snap of herself, decked out in yellow and getting to grips with walking again.

Rocking a sunny jumper emblazoned with a cheeky wink and holding tight to support rails, she cracked a joke saying: “Day 6 and I’ve joined the call button wearing community! Trying to obey Annie’s orders and put feet in right order. Computer scrabble is easier,” reports the Manchester Evening News.
Her Loose Women squad were quick to send their love, with Charlene White chiming in with: “Look at that smile,” and Katie Piper cheering: “Hooray.”
Her fans have been eager to send her positivity during her recovery period. One said: “Great to see you up and about keep going girl.”

Another shared their delight: “Brilliant news see you up about Janet and managing a smile too onwards and upwards.” A third remarked: “You are looking great. Keep up the good work and obey Annie’s orders.”

This heartwarming response came after Janet recently uploaded another grinning selfie, captured merely hours following her surgery. She captioned this initial post-op photo: “Three hours after hip replacement masses, of strong pain relief, resulting in the huge smile of relief! Then the drugs wore off… but I’m walking with a trolley HOORAY XX.”
